Lorenzo Aceto (Pescara, Italy, 1985) works primarily with painting and drawing. In 2010, he earned his Bachelor’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino. Between 2009 and 2013, he collaborated with the Cesare Manzo Gallery in Pescara, where he held two solo exhibitions. In 2016, he was selected for Pilotenkueche, an international artist residency program in Leipzig, Germany, where he currently lives and works. Over the years, he has exhibited in numerous galleries across Italy and has received recognition and awards both nationally and internationally.
Aceto’s artistic research unfolds on two interconnected levels: a formal investigation into the language of painting and a conceptual reflection on the relationship between humanity and the environment. His work is rooted in figurative painting. His creative process is dynamic, with drawing stimulating painting and painting, in turn, enriching drawing—creating a continuously evolving cycle of exploration.
